How to connect a recruiting tool to Claude
Each tool above runs its own MCP server, a web address Claude talks to. Copy the server URL from the card (or from the vendor's setup guide), add it to Claude once, then sign in with your normal account for that tool. After that Claude can read from it, and take actions in it if you allow it, inside any chat.
Claude on the web or desktop

- Go to Customize, then Connectors.
- Click Add custom connector and paste the server URL.
- Click Add, then sign in to the tool when Claude asks.
- In a chat, open the + menu and switch the connector on under Connectors.
Team and Enterprise
An owner adds it once
- The owner goes to Organization settings, then Connectors.
- Click Add, choose Custom, paste the server URL and click Add.
- Everyone else goes to Customize, then Connectors, finds the one marked Custom and clicks Connect.

Before you connect
Keep candidate data safe
- Use the vendor's own server. Every tool on this page has a first-party server published by the company that makes it. Avoid unofficial servers for an ATS or HR system.
- Read the sign-in screen. It lists what Claude will be allowed to do. If you only need search and reporting, look for read-only options.
- Approve actions one by one at first. Save "Always allow" for tools you trust, and block single tools you do not need under Customize, then Connectors.
- Check your company's rules. Candidate and employee records are personal data. Make sure your plan and your data policy allow it before you connect an ATS or HRIS.

Claude connectors FAQ
What is a Claude connector?
A connector links Claude to another app so it can look things up and take actions there. Most connectors run on MCP (Model Context Protocol), an open standard. When a recruiting tool publishes an MCP server, you can add it to Claude as a custom connector with its server URL.
Is a Claude connector the same as an MCP server?
Close to it. The MCP server is what the vendor runs; the connector is how you add that server inside Claude. Some tools are also in Anthropic's own connectors directory, so you can add them from a list instead of pasting a URL.
Do I need a paid Claude plan?
Anthropic's steps for adding a custom connector cover Free, Pro and Max accounts, and on Team and Enterprise an owner adds the connector for everyone. The recruiting tool itself still needs its own account, and some vendors only open their server on certain plans, so check the listing.
Why does a card show a setup guide instead of a server URL?
Some vendors only show the server address inside their app or behind a sign-in, or walk you through setup in their help pages. The setup guide button goes to the vendor's own instructions.
Can Claude change records in my ATS?
It depends on the tools each server exposes and what you allow at sign-in. Many servers can create notes, move candidates or send messages as well as read. Claude asks before it uses a tool unless you have chosen to always allow it.
Do these work with ChatGPT and other assistants?
MCP is an open standard, so many of these servers also work with other assistants and agent tools that support it. Each vendor's setup guide lists the apps it supports.
