What does the AI readiness check measure?
Six areas, four questions each. Every area lines up with part of the Academy, so a low score points straight to the lessons that fix it.
| Area | What it asks about | Where to learn it |
|---|---|---|
| Tools and basics | Which assistant and plan you use, what AI gets wrong, projects and connectors | Module 1 and Module 8 |
| Prompting | What you give AI, how you fix a weak answer, keeping prompts that work | Prompt lesson and prompt library |
| Daily workflow | How much of your desk uses AI, searching your own database, tasks that run on their own | Module 2, Module 3 and Module 6 |
| Safety and hiring law | Candidate data, hiring laws, who makes the call, telling candidates | Module 4 |
| Candidates using AI | AI written resumes, application floods, deepfake interviews, your rules for candidates | Module 7 |
| Measuring results | Time saved, buying tools, the numbers you watch, cutting what nobody uses | Module 5 |
How is the score worked out?
Each answer scores from 0 to 3 points. Each area is out of 12 and shown as a percentage, and your overall score is the average of the six areas.
| Score | Level | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| 0 to 24 | Getting started | Learn the basics and the safety rules before any candidate data goes into a tool |
| 25 to 49 | Experimenting | You have tried AI; now make it part of one part of your week |
| 50 to 74 | Building habits | AI saves you time; better prompts, connections and measurement come next |
| 75 to 100 | AI ready | Automate the routine and help your team catch up |
The check measures habits, not intelligence. A low score in Safety and hiring law matters more than a low score anywhere else, because it is the one area where a mistake costs more than time. When two areas tie for lowest, your results list Safety and hiring law first.
Quick answers
Is the AI readiness check free?
Yes. Your results show as soon as you finish, with no email needed. You can join our weekly newsletter underneath your results if you want to, but it is optional.
Do you save my answers?
Not on our side. Your answers and past results are stored only in this browser, so you can pick up where you left off and compare when you retake. Nothing is sent to Work Insiders, and clearing your browser data removes it.
How long does it take?
About six minutes for 24 questions. You can go back and change any answer before you see your results.
How often should I retake it?
Every 30 days, or after you finish a module or the 8 week plan. Your results show how far each area has moved since your last check in this browser.
Which role should I pick?
The one closest to your day. Agency recruiters get a business development question, in house recruiters an intake question, sourcers a search question and team leads questions about the team. The rest are the same for everyone.
Can my whole team take it?
Yes. Ask each person to take it and share their results with the Copy button, then pick the lowest area across the team as your next training topic. The team lead learning path covers rolling AI out to a team.
