Frequently asked questions
What does it mean when a tool integrates with my ATS?
It means the two products pass data to each other without anyone copying and pasting. A background check tool might start a check from the candidate profile and send the result back. A sourcing tool might push new candidates into a job. What moves, and in which direction, differs from one connector to the next, so ask for the field list.
Is a verified connector guaranteed to work for my account?
No. Verified means the connector is published by the vendor or listed on the ATS marketplace. Some connectors need a higher ATS plan, an API key from your admin, or a paid add-on on the tool side. Treat verified as a strong starting point, not a promise.
What should I ask on a demo call about an integration?
Ask which fields sync, whether the sync is one way or both ways, how often it runs, who builds and maintains it, and whether it costs extra. Ask to see it working in a live account, not a slide.
My tool is not listed for my ATS. Does that mean there is no integration?
Not always. Vendors add connectors often, and some only mention them to customers. If you know of one we are missing, email support@workinsiders.com with the link and we will check it.
What is a unified API, and why is it marked as reported?
A unified API is a middle layer, such as Merge or Kombo, that lets one tool connect to many ATSs through a single build. It widens coverage, but the depth of each connection varies, so we mark those pairings as reported and suggest you confirm them.
