Official connectors are taken from Meta's own Muse pages. Community skills come from the open-source muse-connectors project on GitHub, pinned to the version we checked. What each one can do depends on the app's API and your plan, so the questions above are examples, not promises.
How to read this page
Official connectors and community skills
Muse can reach other apps in two ways. Official connectors are built into Muse and switched on in its settings. Community skills are small open-source add-ons that Muse installs when you paste a prompt; they call the app's public API with your own login.
- Official. Named by Meta on its own Muse pages. You connect it in Muse settings, or it links automatically through your Meta Accounts Center.
- Community, live-tested. Not made by Meta or the app's vendor. The maintainer says it was run against the real app.
- Community draft. Written from the app's public API documentation and not yet run end to end by its maintainer. Start with read-only questions.
Before you connect
Keep candidate and client data safe
- Prefer official connectors for anything holding candidate data. Community skills are not reviewed by Meta or by the vendor.
- Read the skill before you paste the prompt. Every community skill lists the files it installs and the only web addresses it may call. "Read the skill" opens that file.
- Give the smallest access that works. Use a read-only key where the app offers one, and keep sends, stage moves and offers on approval.
- Disconnecting stops new access only. Remove the connection in Muse and revoke the key in the app itself when you are done.
Questions
Meta Muse connectors FAQ
Can Meta Muse connect to my ATS?
Not through an official connector yet. Meta's work connectors cover email, chat, docs, design and money apps, not applicant tracking systems. Ashby has a community skill that reads public job boards without a key and can read candidates, jobs and applications with an API key. For other ATSs, check whether the vendor has an MCP server and use it from Claude or ChatGPT instead.
What is a Muse community skill?
An open-source add-on that teaches Muse to use an app's public API. You paste an install prompt into Muse, it downloads the files the skill lists, asks for your login through its secure credential flow and runs a status check. The skills on this page come from the open-source muse-connectors project on GitHub.
Is it safe to connect Muse to recruiting tools?
Official connectors are the safer choice for candidate and client data. Community skills are not reviewed by Meta or the app vendor, so read the skill first, use the narrowest key the app allows and keep any action that sends, moves or signs something on approval.
Where is Muse available and what does it cost?
Meta says Muse is available to people 18 and over in the US and Canada, and that it is free for most of what people need, with subscription plans for heavier use. Each connected app still needs its own account and plan.
Does LinkedIn connect to Muse?
No LinkedIn connector is listed by Meta or in the community project as of the date checked. Use LinkedIn's own tools, or a sourcing tool from our directory that has an official MCP server.
Do these work with Claude or ChatGPT?
Muse community skills are written for Muse. Many of the same apps run their own MCP servers that work with Claude and ChatGPT; see our Claude connectors page and MCP Directory.
Work Insiders is an independent directory and is not affiliated with Meta. Muse is a trademark of Meta Platforms. Community skills belong to their maintainers.
