Bottom line

Small-business and white label ATS with an open API and, since October 2026, a first-party MCP server on the Pro plan. Starts at $80/mo with a 14-day free trial.

Stands out for: An API-first small-business tracker that now lets AI agents work jobs and applicants through a hosted MCP server, using the same API key and secret you already have.

Watch out for: MCP access needs the Pro plan or a partner account, signs in with an API key and secret rather than OAuth, and the tracker itself is not built for large requisition-heavy teams.

Overview

HiringThing is a small-business applicant tracker and onboarding platform with job posting, branded apply forms and an open API. It is also sold white label, so HR platforms, PEOs and vertical software companies can offer hiring to their own clients under their own brand.

On October 14, 2026 HiringThing launched a first-party MCP server. It is a standard remote server at mcp.applicant-tracking.com/mcp, so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients can browse and create jobs and move applicants through the pipeline. It signs in with your existing v1 API key and secret joined into one bearer token, and an agent can only do what those credentials already allow.

The MCP server is included for partners and on the Pro plan. Pricing starts at $80 a month, and the 14-day free trial covers up to five active jobs with no credit card.
