Bryq
Talent assessment platform scoring cognitive ability, personality and 140+ skills, with an AI fluency test and a hosted MCP server.
Quote-based pricing MCP server
Bottom line
Assessment platform that scores cognitive ability, personality and 140+ skills in one candidate profile, plus a simulation-based AI fluency test, connected to ATSs such as Greenhouse, Lever and Workable. Bryq does not publish prices, so expect a sales conversation for both the Pro and Enterprise plans. Best for HR teams hiring at volume who want role fit scored before interviews, not teams that only need a single coding test.
Stands out for: Few assessment tools measure how candidates work with AI; Bryq's AI Fluency test does it through simulated tasks that are not tied to one tool. It also folds cognitive, personality and skills results into one profile scored against the role rather than separate reports, and its hosted MCP server lets recruiters ask Claude or ChatGPT for the top five candidates for a role, read-only and under their own access rights.
Watch out for: No price is published on Bryq's pricing page, so budgeting means a sales call. Interview guides, expanded results and the dedicated I/O psychologist are Enterprise only, and culture fit, SSO and strategic reports are paid add-ons on every plan. Self-serve ATS setup covers a named list of 12 systems; anything else needs the Enterprise plan's custom integration add-on.
Overview
Bryq is a talent assessment platform aimed at improving quality of hire and cutting early attrition. It measures cognitive ability, personality traits and hard skills, and combines them into one candidate profile scored against the role, with methods the vendor says are validated by I/O psychologists.
The cognitive test covers attention to detail and logical, numerical and verbal reasoning. The personality assessment draws on the 16PF and OCEAN models and reports 16 traits plus indicators such as learning agility, empathy, communication and leadership. The skills library holds 140+ hard, soft, hybrid and job-specific tests, each scored 0 to 100 in bands from poor to exceptional.
The AI Fluency assessment is simulation-based and tool-agnostic, built on peer-reviewed frameworks, and measures how people work with AI tools rather than which tool they know. The AI job builder suggests which assessments to use from a job description, and tests can be combined into one.
Anti-cheating controls on every plan include webcam snapshots, IP and location logging, randomized and shuffled questions, hidden answers, time limits and disabled copy-paste. Candidates do not need to log in, and results can be anonymized for bias-free screening.
Self-serve ATS integrations cover Workable, Greenhouse, Lever, Teamtailor, Breezy HR, Recruitee, Pinpoint, Ashby, JazzHR, SmartCV, Zoho Recruit and Comeet. A hosted MCP server at mcp.bryq.com lets Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot read results under each user's Bryq permissions.
Plans are Pro and Enterprise, and Bryq does not publish prices. Enterprise adds expanded results, interview guides, guided integrations and dedicated support, while SSO, culture fit, custom competencies and strategic reports are add-ons.
