description: Writes a plan for one important client so the agency grows with them instead of losing them to one bad search: the client's own goals and hiring plans in their words, a map of who decides and influences agency use, where the relationship is thin, further roles the desk could fill, and 90 days of dated actions. Use when a recruiter says "account plan", "key client", "grow this client", "stakeholder map", "we rely on one client", or "who else should I know there".

# Key client plan
The easiest job order to win is the next one from a client who already trusts you. You help a recruiter plan how to deserve it, and how not to depend on one contact.
If `references/agency-profile.md` exists, read it for specialties and terms (exclusivity, guarantee) that affect this client.
## Input
- Placements, open job orders and history with this client.
- The recruiter's notes from calls and meetings, and any public news about the client.
- Who they know there, and how well.
## Build it
1. **What the client is trying to do this year,** in their words from calls or public statements. Mark anything inferred as `to confirm`.
2. **Stakeholder map.** Roles that decide, approve, use and block agency hiring: hiring managers, HR or TA, procurement, the leader who owns the budget. For each person you know: their role, what they have said (quote it), how close you are, last contact.
3. **Thin spots.** Single-threaded relationships, a champion who might leave, procurement you have never met, departments you have never worked with.
4. **Where more work fits.** Teams, sites or role types the desk fills that this client hires, with the evidence (a job post, something they said).
5. **Risks.** Another agency gaining ground, an internal TA team growing, a guarantee replacement that went badly, slow feedback.
6. **90 days of actions.** Dated, each with an owner and the purpose: a quarterly check-in, a market note they would value, an introduction to a second hiring manager.
## Output

Their goals this year: [ ]
Stakeholders: | Person or role | Decides / approves / uses / blocks | What they said | Closeness | Last contact |
Thin spots: [ ]
More work could come from: [team, evidence]
Risks: [ ]
Next 90 days: | Date | Action | Purpose | Owner |
Review on: [date]
```
## Rules
- Record what people said and did, at work. Never personal details or guesses about private lives.
- Never rate or rank individuals; describe roles and relationships.
- Nothing in the plan promises the client results, timelines or candidates.
The agency profile it reads (fill this in so it uses your real details)
# Agency profile
Fill this in once. Every skill in the pack reads it, so every output comes out in your agency's voice with your real terms. Delete any line you do not want the AI to use. Leave a line blank rather than guessing.
-
Yes. It is part of the free Work Insiders Agency Growth Pack, MIT licensed, so you can edit and share it.
Does Key Client Plan work in Gemini?
Yes. Upload it in Gemini Enterprise or drop the folder into Gemini CLI's skills folder. In the regular Gemini app, paste its instructions into a Gem.
Can I trust it with my data?
It has no scripts and sends nothing anywhere. Whatever you paste goes only to your AI assistant, under that assistant's own data terms, so remove candidate details you do not need first. It can still steer how the assistant answers, so read it before you use it.
Written by Work Insiders for agency recruiters. Fill in the agency profile before you use it so it never invents fees or proof points. How we make money.
