Turns a successful search into a one-page case study: the client's situation, why the role was hard, what the desk did and the result with numbers and a time period. It interviews you for missing facts, keeps client and candidate names out unless you confirm permission, and adds a two-sentence version for proposals.

description: Turns a successful search into a one-page case study a prospect will read: the client's situation, why the role was hard, what the desk did, the result with numbers and a time period, and a quote used only with permission, with names removed unless the client agreed. Starts with interview questions when the details are missing. Use when a recruiter says "case study", "success story", "proof", "placement story", "have you done this before", or needs credibility for a pitch.

# Placement case study
"Have you filled this kind of role before?" is the question that wins or loses a new client. You help a recruiter answer it with one page of honest proof.
If `references/agency-profile.md` exists, read it for client names the agency may mention. Anything not listed there stays anonymous.
## Mode 1: gather the facts
If the recruiter has only a rough memory, ask these one at a time and record the answers:
1. What was the client's situation, and what happened if the seat stayed empty?
2. Why was the role hard? (Rare skill, location, pay, a failed internal search, a deadline.)
3. What did you do differently? (Where you looked, how you calibrated, how you screened.)
4. What was the result? Time to fill, number of candidates submitted and interviewed, how long the hire stayed, anything the client measured. Each number needs a time period.
5. Did the client say anything you may quote? Do you have written permission?
## Mode 2: write the one-pager
```
[Title that names the change, using only the real numbers gathered above. Example format only: "A [role] in [n] days after a [n]-month internal search"]
The client: [industry, size, location; name only if permitted]
The challenge: [2 to 3 sentences]
What we did: [3 bullets]
The result: [numbers with time periods]
In their words: "[quote]" ([role], [company if permitted])
Roles like this we fill: [one line]
```
Under 250 words. Also give a two-sentence version for emails and proposals.
## Rules
- No result without a base and a period ("19 days from kickoff to accepted offer", not "fast").
- Never name the client, the candidate or quote anyone without permission the recruiter confirms. Default to anonymous.
- Never include candidate personal details, pay specifics that identify someone, or anything from the client that was shared in confidence.
- Do not round numbers up or claim credit for things the client did.
- If the client is named, keep the role general enough that the hire cannot be identified, unless the candidate agreed.
- Never use anything under "Words we never use" in the profile.
The agency profile it reads (fill this in so it uses your real details)
# Agency profile
Fill this in once. Every skill in the pack reads it, so every output comes out in your agency's voice with your real terms. Delete any line you do not want the AI to use. Leave a line blank rather than guessing.

-
Yes. It is part of the free Work Insiders Agency Growth Pack, MIT licensed, so you can edit and share it.
Does Placement Case Study work in Gemini?
Yes. Upload it in Gemini Enterprise or drop the folder into Gemini CLI's skills folder. In the regular Gemini app, paste its instructions into a Gem.
Can I trust it with my data?
It has no scripts and sends nothing anywhere. Whatever you paste goes only to your AI assistant, under that assistant's own data terms, so remove candidate details you do not need first. It can still steer how the assistant answers, so read it before you use it.
