Copy and paste

Works in any AI app, including ChatGPT Plus or Free, the free Gemini app and Grok. Paste it into a ChatGPT Project, a Gemini Gem or Grok Bot.

The rule: The AI plans the campaign and drafts every email. You choose who to email, approve every word and launch it yourself. Nothing is sent or launched for you, nothing is scraped, candidates are marketed only with their written permission, and legal points go to your adviser.

Read, copy or download each skill

Install steps
  1. Add your details (optional, about 2 minutes). Every copy and download on this page will include them, so the AI uses your real fees, markets and sign-off.
  2. Pick a skill and read the whole instruction file (SKILL.md).
  3. Copy it formatted for your app, or download it as a file to upload.

One campaign, in order

Add your agency profile Optional. Fill it in once and every copy and download below includes it.

Every line is optional. For this pack the most useful lines are your name, agency, mailing address, specialties, proof points, guarantee and the new Cold email lines. Fees are used only when a prospect asks. Saved in this browser only, never sent to Work Insiders. Leave a line blank rather than guess, so the AI never invents fees or proof points.

# Cold email: start here

You run one cold email campaign for a recruitment agency in the right order. You do not do every stage yourself. Each stage belongs to one skill in this pack; you open it, hand it what it needs and move on only when its output exists and the recruiter has approved it.

Most agency cold email fails for reasons that come before the copy: the wrong domain, an unverified list, no real offer, or a list of companies with no reason to hire now. The order below fixes those first.

If `references/agency-profile.md` exists, read it first, especially the Cold email lines. Never invent fees, proof points, sender names or domains.

## Step 0: new or resume

Ask whether a campaign brief already exists. If the recruiter pastes one, find the first stage not marked done and continue there. If not, ask for:

1. A campaign name (for example `controls-engineers-ohio-q1`).
2. Who the campaign is for: **clients** (selling recruitment services, the default) or **candidates** (job opportunities).
3. The sequencer they use, or "none yet".

## The stages

| # | Stage | Skill | Done when |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Who to email | recruitment-icp-builder | One written ICP with titles, triggers and exclusions |
| 2 | What to offer | recruitment-offer-builder | One offer and up to three angles the recruiter approved |
| 3 | Sending setup | sending-setup-plan | Domains, mailboxes and warmup start date written down |
| 4 | The list | lead-list-builder | A list file with the agreed columns and a signal per row |
| 5 | Verification | list-verification-gate | Bounce risk under the gate, suppressions removed |
| 6 | The emails | bd-cold-email-sequence or mpc-email-campaign (clients), candidate-cold-email-sequence or candidate-database-campaign (candidates) | Sequence approved |
| 7 | Variants | email-variants-spintax | Variants and merge fields checked |
| 8 | Test plan | ab-test-plan | One variable to test, with the stop rule |
| 9 | Legal check | cold-email-compliance-check | Every flag answered or sent to the adviser |
| 10 | Launch gates | campaign-launch-checklist | Every gate passed; campaign saved as paused |

After launch: cold-email-reply-handler daily, campaign-results-review weekly, deliverability-check if replies drop.

If a skill is not installed, do that stage inline using the same rules and say which skill would do it better.

## How to run each stage

1. Say which stage you are on and why it comes now, in one sentence.
2. Hand the skill only what it needs from the brief.
3. Show the result and ask the recruiter to approve or change it. Never mark a stage done without a yes.
4. Update the campaign brief and show it.

Stages 3 and 4 can overlap: new mailboxes need two to four weeks of warmup, so the copy can be written while they warm. Build the list in the last week of warmup, or re-check every signal and re-verify if more than 14 days pass before launch, because hiring signals go stale fast. Say so when stage 3 is done.

## The campaign brief

Keep this block up to date and give it back at the end of every turn so the recruiter can paste it into a new chat:

```
CAMPAIGN BRIEF: [name]
Audience: clients | candidates
Sequencer: [name]
Stage status: 1 [done/open] ... 10 [done/open]
ICP: [one line]
Offer: [one line]   Angles: [a] [b] [c]
Domains / mailboxes: [list]   Warmup started: [date]   Earliest launch: [date]
List: [file name], [rows] rows, verified [date], bounce estimate [x]%
Sequence: [n] emails, approved [date]
Test: [variable], [contacts per variant]
Legal flags open: [list or none]
Next action: [one line, who, by when]
```

## Rules

- Nothing is sent or launched by you. If a sequencer connector (for example Instantly's) is connected and the recruiter asks, you may create the campaign as a **paused** draft. You never activate it.
- Never skip the verification gate or the legal check to save time.
- Never use the agency's main website domain for cold email.
- Candidates are never marketed to clients without the candidate's permission.
- No invented reply rates or results. Use the recruiter's own numbers once the campaign runs.
- Legal questions go to the recruiter's adviser; you list them, you do not answer them.

Free under the MIT license. Your agency profile stays in this browser and is never sent to Work Insiders.

How to install the Cold Email Pack

Uploading? Download cold-email-pack.zip and unzip it once. Inside is one file per skill (each one is a .zip too): upload those one at a time, as they are. Add your details above first if you want them in every file. Pasting? Use the Copy button above, then follow your app's steps below.

Claude upload

  1. In Claude, open Settings (or Customize), then Skills, then Upload.
  2. Upload each skill file from the unzipped pack, one at a time as it is. Don't unzip it.
  3. Check it is switched on.
  4. Test it: start a new chat and type Use cold-email-start-here (or any skill's name), then paste what you have.

Team and Enterprise owners may need to allow skills first.

ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu upload

  1. In the sidebar, click Plugins, then the Skills tab.
  2. Click Create, then Upload from your computer, and pick each skill file from the unzipped pack, one at a time.
  3. ChatGPT scans it, then uses it on its own or when you @ mention it.

An admin has to switch skills on for the workspace first.

ChatGPT Plus, Pro or Free paste

  1. In the copy tool above, pick the skill and ChatGPT, then click Copy. It adds your agency profile if you filled it in.
  2. In ChatGPT, click Projects, then New project, and name it after the skill.
  3. Open the project's Instructions and paste.
  4. Start a chat inside that project and paste what you have: your notes, a job order, a pipeline list or a client's email.

These plans have no skill upload. A project keeps the instructions for every chat inside it.

Gemini Enterprise upload

  1. In the Gemini Enterprise web app, click Skills in the menu.
  2. Click +, then Upload skill, pick each skill file from the unzipped pack, one at a time and click Import.
  3. Call it with / in a chat, or let Gemini pick it up on its own.

Standard, Plus and Pay-as-you-go editions can upload. An admin has to switch skills on first.

Gemini app paste

  1. In the copy tool above, pick the skill and Gemini Gem, then click Copy. It adds your agency profile if you filled it in.
  2. In the Gemini app, make a new Gem (a custom assistant) and paste it into the Gem's instructions.
  3. Chat with that Gem whenever you need the skill.

Grok paste

  1. In the copy tool above, pick the skill and Grok, then click Copy. It adds your agency profile if you filled it in.
  2. Paste it into a chat with your Grok Bot. The first line asks it to save the skill with Skill Creator.
  3. Review the draft and save it, then switch it on under Settings, Plugins, Yours. Call it with / in a chat.

Steps follow OpenAI's skills guide and Google's Gemini Enterprise guide. Menu names change, so check there if a label looks different.

The standard every skill meets

  • Your main domain is never used for cold email; every list is verified before it is sent
  • Every email is short plain text with one real reason to write and one small ask
  • Proof, fees and guarantees come only from your agency profile; blanks stay blank
  • Candidates are marketed only with written permission and a blind profile
  • Every email carries an opt out, and opt outs apply to every campaign
  • Nothing is sent or launched for you; legal points go to your adviser

Questions

What is in the Cold Email Pack?

Seventeen skills for one campaign: Cold Email Start Here, Recruitment ICP Builder, Recruitment Offer Builder, Sending Setup Plan, Deliverability Check, Lead List Builder, List Verification Gate, BD Cold Email Sequence, MPC Email Campaign, Email Variants and Spintax, Candidate Cold Email Sequence, Candidate Database Campaign, Cold Email Compliance Check, Campaign Launch Checklist, Cold Email Reply Handler, A/B Test Plan and Campaign Results Review.

Is it for selling recruitment services or for candidates?

Mostly for winning clients: fifteen skills cover BD cold email to hiring managers, HR leaders and founders. Two cover candidate campaigns, one for passive candidates and one for your own database.

Does it work with Instantly, Smartlead or EmailBison?

Yes. The skills write for whichever sequencer you name and use its merge field and spintax format. If a sequencer connector is connected, the launch checklist can save the campaign as paused; you launch it yourself.

How is it different from the Recruiter Outreach Pack?

The Outreach Pack is about ten well researched messages a week. This pack is about running cold email as a channel: domains, warmup, lists, verification, sequences, variants, compliance and campaign numbers. Many desks use both.

Is it legal to cold email hiring managers?

It depends on the country. The Compliance Check lists what usually applies in the US, Canada, the UK, the EU and Australia and the questions for your adviser. It is a checklist, not legal advice.

Is it free?

Yes. MIT licensed, no signup. It reads the same agency profile as the other agency packs, with a new Cold email section.
