Bottom line
Accounting software built only for staffing and IT consulting firms: consultant timesheets turn into invoices automatically, and commissions, bank reconciliation, intercompany entries and 80+ financial reports run in the same system. It does no recruiting, so it sits beside your ATS. Quote-based, priced after a demo.
Stands out for: It is a ledger shaped around the consultant rather than a generic accounting package. Approved hours raise the invoice with the timesheet attached, the dashboard drills from company revenue down to a single transaction, and it alerts on consultant visa and project end dates. Owners running several staffing companies get intercompany accounting and one view across all of them.
Watch out for: No published price, and the Free Trial button on the vendor homepage opens a demo booking form. Payroll is not run inside Nimble: you import payroll already processed in ADP or QuickBooks. Outside reviews are hard to find, and the vendor documents only those two integrations.
Overview
Nimble Staffing is accounting software for staffing companies from Nimble Accounting, based in Hauppauge, New York. It covers the back office after a placement: consultant timesheets, invoicing, commissions, bank reconciliation, intercompany accounting and financial reporting, with consultants logging in through their own portal.
Timesheets can be entered by staff or by consultants, with regular and overtime hours tracked and reminders sent for missing sheets. Invoices are raised from the captured hours, emailed with the timesheet attached, and built from a choice of templates.
On the payroll side it imports payroll already processed in ADP or QuickBooks, maps the entries, applies a built-in tax engine for current rates and tracks minimum wage compliance with a history by the state worked in. The dashboard shows bank balances, receivables, sales team performance and revenue and expenses by company, with alerts for consultant visas and project end dates.
The vendor lists more than 80 standard and custom reports and says it has over 200 clients. Pricing is quoted after a demo.

TempWorks also runs pay and bill but puts an ATS and CRM in the same system, where Nimble only covers the accounting and sits beside the recruiting tool you already use.

Aqore runs the ATS, timekeeping, payroll and invoicing on one login for temp and light industrial agencies, while Nimble focuses on consultant billing and multi-company accounting for IT staffing.

CEIPAL is a staffing ATS with recruiting automation, so IT staffing firms that want the accounting side handled separately often pair a tool like it with a back office such as Nimble.
