There is no published price and no free trial, only a demo. The site names chat channels but not the HRIS or ticketing systems it connects to, so confirm your stack is supported before a pilot. Resolution rates such as 90%+ of routine cases are the vendor's own customer figures, and there are no independent reviews yet.
What we noted
Not the right fit for
Worth keeping in mind: Harper is built to close cases, not just answer them. It acts in connected HR systems to complete routine requests, cites the policy behind each answer, and its Autopilot feature builds new workflows from your own past tickets and emails for your team to approve. Wisq trains its own HR language model rather than wrapping a general chatbot, and its founders previously built Glint, the employee engagement platform LinkedIn acquired.

Why it comes up: Leena AI is the closest like-for-like AI HR agent and also sells by quote, but it covers IT and finance help desks as well as HR, so it suits a company wanting one agent across departments.
Stands out: An HR-trained assistant that sits on your policies and HCM so employees are not emailing people-ops for password and leave questions.
Watch out: Quote-only. Garbage-in policies produce garbage answers. Confirm which HCM (Workday, SAP, BambooHR, ADP) is a supported connector before you demo.

Why it comes up: Moveworks started in IT support and is built for an enterprise-wide employee assistant across IT, HR and finance, where Wisq is HR only and trains its own HR model.
Stands out: The assistant plus a Reasoning Engine sit in front of enterprise systems, with Agent Studio for building agentic workflows. The vendor cites 5.5 million employee users and ~90 percent of customers deploying to 100 percent of employees.
Watch out: The commercial path is now a ServiceNow conversation as well as a Moveworks one. There is no public PEPM. Implementation is an enterprise program, not a $99/mo agent.

Sales-quoted MCP API
Why it comes up: ServiceNow HRSD is a full HR case management and portal platform that Harper-style AI sits on top of, the better fit if you need the ticketing system itself rather than an agent.
Stands out: HR tickets on the same platform as ITSM, so large employers are not running a side help desk for people ops.
Watch out: This is a ServiceNow SKU, not a standalone HR help desk you buy for $10/user. Platform, modules, and implementation dwarf the software line item. MCP and API are listed.

Why it comes up: Espressive Barista is an employee virtual agent focused on IT and HR self-service in Teams and Slack, with a longer track record but less emphasis on completing HR cases end to end.
Stands out: A virtual agent that deflects HR and IT tickets in Teams, Slack, and ServiceNow, not a chatbot bolted onto an ATS.
Watch out: The product is now sold as Resolve; Espressive Barista is the former name. This is an enterprise help-desk buy, not a recruiter tool.
