SearchOS vs SoftSync

Same facts, side by side: starting price, free tier, MCP, API and what each one is actually built for.

SearchOS

$159/seat/mo 14 day free trial

All-in-one CRM and ATS for agency recruiters and search firms, built by a working headhunter. Emails, calls and LinkedIn messages log themselves, a Radar feature turns job adverts, funding and people moves into BD actions, and each consultant gets a morning list of the actions most likely to make a fee. Contact data, call recording, e-signatures and a Claude MCP connector are included. From $159/seat/mo with a 14-day free trial, no card.

Where SearchOS fits

  • Solo recruiters and boutique agencies who never keep their CRM up to date
  • Contingency and retained search desks that want BD signals and contact data in one place
  • Recruiters who want to query and update their database from Claude

SoftSync

$29/seat/mo 14 day free trial

An all-in-one AI CRM from $29/seat/mo that replaces a separate note taker, booking tool, form builder and e-signature app, with an AI Assistant, Autopilot workflows, API and a first-party MCP server on every plan. 14-day trial. Best for small agencies and founder-led teams that want one tool for client development, not a candidate database.

Where SoftSync fits

  • Recruitment agencies tracking clients, hiring managers and mandates
  • Founder-led teams replacing several sales apps with one
  • Teams that want Claude or ChatGPT to work inside their CRM

Where they pull apart

SearchOS

Stands out: It aims to replace the whole desk stack (CRM, sourcing, outreach, contact data, call notes and e-signing) with one system, and it publishes every price, including contact credits (one credit per email or mobile found, pooled across the team) and fixed migration fees. A done-for-you move from Bullhorn, Loxo or spreadsheets is free on annual plans of 3+ seats.

Watch out: It is a young product with no outside reviews yet, and moving your whole database to a new vendor is a big step. Phone credits are thin on the entry plan (15 a month), and call recording and campaigns start on Principal at $199/seat/mo; the $99 Founding 100 price only applies to the first 100 desks.

Not the right fit for

  • Firms that want a vendor with a long track record and outside reviews before switching
  • Agencies that only need contact data or sequences, not a new CRM

SoftSync

Stands out: The meeting recorder is a desktop app, so no bot joins client calls, and the summary is reviewed before it lands on the record. Booking, quotes, e-signature, forms and a help desk come in the same $29 seat, and the MCP server ships written guidance so Claude or ChatGPT can work the CRM within limits you set.

Watch out: SoftSync says plainly it is not an ATS: candidates stay in your existing recruiting system, and it holds employers, hiring managers and mandates. Pro caps a workspace at 5 team members and 1,000 campaign emails per user a month, so bigger desks need Business at $59/seat.

Not the right fit for

  • Recruiters who need candidate pipelines and job posting
  • Buyers who want LinkedIn messaging inside the CRM
  • Teams of more than 5 on the entry plan

SoftSync

  • Bot-free desktop meeting notes
  • Booking, e-signature and forms included
  • MCP, API and AI on every plan
  • Not an ATS for candidates
  • Pro capped at 5 team members
