AI Interview Agents vs Sorinai

Same facts, side by side: starting price, free tier, MCP, API and what each one is actually built for.

Starting price

AI Interview Agents

$99/mo Free tier

AI first-round interviewer for recruiters and small agencies, strongest on volume roles such as sales, customer support, retail and hospitality. It reads every resume against the role, invites only those above your bar to a 15 or 30 minute AI voice interview in 75 languages, checks when they can really start and where they are, and hands you a ranked list with the answer behind every score. It also turns your own screening calls into notes and a client submittal. Free covers 10 interviews a month; Pro is $99/mo for 200.

Where AI Interview Agents fits

  • Volume hiring for sales, support, retail and hospitality
  • Small staffing agencies that write client submittals
  • Multilingual candidate pools
  • Recruiters who want first rounds done without scheduling

Sorinai

$15/user/mo Free tier

Desktop note taker that works through the screening sheet or scorecard you already use (Word, PDF or plain text) as the candidate talks, flagging the questions still open before the call ends. It captures your computer's audio instead of sending a bot, so phone, dialler and WhatsApp screens are covered as well as Zoom. Nothing syncs to an ATS: you download the completed file in its original layout. Runs on Mac and Windows; meetings are unlimited free, and unlimited document fill costs $15/user/mo.

Where Sorinai fits

  • Agency recruiters who screen candidates by phone or WhatsApp
  • Desks with a fixed screening sheet or client intake form
  • In-house teams that want identical scorecards from every interviewer
  • Recruiters who want to query past calls from Claude

Where they pull apart

AI Interview Agents

Stands out: The joining readiness check: the interviewer asks about start date, resignation and right to work, and an opt-in location check shows the city the candidate interviewed from and its distance from the job, so a CV that says available immediately in Austin can be tested against reality. Candidates can mix languages mid-answer, and a single hiring link or QR code on a flyer can start the interview within minutes of applying.

Watch out: Capacity is capped by credits that do not roll over (200 interviews a month on Pro, with no published price for more), and AI phone calls are a separate by-request setup. It sits next to your ATS rather than syncing with one, using imports from LinkedIn, Indeed or Naukri exports instead. The career page with built-in ATS is still early access, and there are no outside reviews yet.

Not the right fit for

  • Teams needing a native two-way ATS integration
  • Enterprises screening thousands of candidates a month

Sorinai

Stands out: The live checklist built from your own sheet shows which questions are still unasked while the candidate is on the line, and afterwards the same Word or PDF comes back filled with its formatting intact. Because it listens to your computer's audio rather than sending a bot, it covers WhatsApp, FaceTime and dialler calls as well as video meetings.

Watch out: There is no ATS connector, so the filled sheet is downloaded and uploaded by hand. Unlimited document fill needs the $15 Personal plan, the free plan's MCP only reaches the last 30 days, and the product is young with no outside reviews yet.

Not the right fit for

  • Teams that need interview notes written back into an ATS automatically
  • Recruiters who take calls on a mobile phone rather than through a computer
