Cal.com
Open-source scheduling with a free plan for individuals, round-robin team links, routing forms and an AI phone agent for reminders.
From $12/user/mo Free tier 14-day free trial MCP server API
Bottom line
Cal.com is an open-source scheduling tool that turns your calendar into booking links for candidate screens, client calls and cold email meetings. It suits solo recruiters who want a capable free plan and agencies that need round-robin and routing across a team. The Individuals plan is free, Teams starts at $12 per user per month billed yearly, and Teams and Organizations include a 14-day free trial.
Stands out for: The free plan for one user is unusually complete, with unlimited event types, payments and two-way HubSpot and Salesforce sync, where Calendly holds several of those back for paid tiers. It is also open source and ships its own hosted MCP server, so an AI assistant can check availability and book meetings directly.
Watch out for: Team features such as round-robin, routing forms and branding removal sit behind the per-user Teams plan, so costs rise with headcount. Cal.ai calls are billed by the minute in credits, and the free Individuals plan includes no credits at all.
Overview
Cal.com is a scheduling platform whose source code is published on GitHub. You connect your calendars, set availability and share a short link such as cal.com/yourname, and bookers pick a time that works without the usual email back and forth.
The free Individuals plan covers one user with unlimited links and calendars, email and SMS notifications, Stripe and PayPal payments, two-way Salesforce and HubSpot sync and a one-click import of Calendly event types. For a recruiter running cold email, that is enough to drop a booking link into replies and have the meeting logged in the CRM.
Teams adds shared availability, round-robin, managed and collective links, routing forms and booking analytics. Organizations builds on that with sub-teams, a company subdomain, SAML SSO, SCIM and compliance coverage including SOC 2, HIPAA and ISO 27001.
Cal.ai is the company's AI voice agent. It runs inside Workflows and can phone attendees before a meeting, after a no-show or after a form submission, with call transcripts and analytics in the dashboard. Developers can also use API v2, webhooks and a hosted MCP server.
