Bottom line

Meta Muse is Meta's personal AI agent. You give it a task or a goal and it does the work on its own secure cloud computer, from sending email and filling forms to booking and buying, and keeps going after you close the app. Recruiters can hand it inbox, calendar and research chores, with approval before anything is sent. It is free with a usage limit, and paid plans start at $20 a month.

Stands out for: It acts rather than just answers: it runs a real browser on its own computer, works on goals in the background and connects to email, calendar, Instagram and business tools such as Slack and HighLevel.

Watch out for: It is a consumer agent with no team workspace or admin controls, so keep candidate and client data out of it. It is only available to adults in the US and Canada, and the free tier has a usage limit.

Overview

Meta Muse is a personal AI agent from Meta, launched in September 2026 and built on Meta's Muse Spark models. It is a separate product from the Meta AI assistant: where Meta AI answers questions, Muse takes tasks and goals and carries them out. You talk to it in the Muse app on phone or Mac, at muse.ai, or in WhatsApp.

Each user gets Muse Secure VM, a persistent Linux computer in the cloud with a full browser, a file system and a terminal. Muse uses it to search the web, fill out forms, complete bookings and purchases, and build small tools when a task needs one. You can watch and step in at any point.

For recruiting, Muse can watch an inbox, draft and send replies after approval, put interviews on a calendar, research companies across many sites and produce documents, PDFs and trackers. Muse for Small Business adds connectors for Slack, Notion, Canva, Zoom, HighLevel and Meta business accounts, and supports custom connectors.

Muse asks before it sends email, buys or shares information with a connected app, keeps logins in a credential store it cannot read and keeps a full activity log. It is free with a usage limit. Paid plans are Power at $20 a month and Maximum at $100 a month, which add weekly usage.
