Where they pull apart

Outreach

Stands out: The grown-up sequencer: pipeline, forecasting, conversation intelligence, and agents on one enterprise agreement, with MCP.

Watch out: There is no self-serve pricing. You buy seats plus AI credits, so a recruiting team using it as a mail-merge will still sit on an enterprise sales contract.

Not the right fit for

  • SMB recruiters who wanted Instantly or Smartlead prices
  • Teams that only need LinkedIn automation
  • Buyers who require a published per-seat number

Salesloft

Stands out: Cadences, dialer, conversation intelligence and Clari forecasting on one platform, with an MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT.

Watch out: No public seat price or self-serve checkout. Expect an annual contract and an implementation project.

Not the right fit for

  • SMBs that need a published per-seat checkout
  • Recruiters looking for an ATS or sourcing database

Pros and cons

Outreach

  • Enterprise sequencer plus pipeline and CI in one suite
  • MCP and API available
  • Flexible packaging so AI usage is not only a seat tax
  • Quote-only, seats plus AI credits
  • Overkill for a recruiting mailbox farm
  • Minimums and professional services are the real start

Salesloft

  • Cadences, dialer and coaching in one suite
  • MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT
  • Public REST API for the core platform
  • Quote-only, no public seat price
  • Not a recruiting ATS or contact database
  • Annual contracts and setup work expected
