Where they pull apart

BackgroundChecks.com

Stands out: You pay per report. Court pass-through fees are billed at cost. Adverse-action letters and FCRA workflows are included in the account rather than sold as an add-on.

Watch out: County and education surcharges can still appear at checkout. There is no unlimited monthly search product. High-volume discounts start after 100 reports in a month.

Not the right fit for

  • Global employers that need a quoted multi-country HireRight program
  • Landlords looking for a non-FCRA tenant screen priced as unlimited monthly

Sure Check Background

Stands out: Average turnaround is marketed at 8 hours, with most reports instant or same day. Direct county-court integrations are the pitch versus leased CRA backends.

Watch out: Basic at $8.99 has no unlimited county criminal search. That starts on Complete at $25.99. Education and employment verification wait for Professional at $49.99, or a la carte ($10 education, $8 employment).

Not the right fit for

  • Enterprise programs that need a global HireRight-style contract and SLA
  • Buyers who only want a monthly unlimited search subscription
