Compare/Head to head

HelloSky vs hireEZ

Same facts, side by side: starting price, free tier, MCP, API and what each one is actually built for.

Starting price

HelloSky

Sales-quoted

HelloSky is executive-search intelligence: map the market, rank leaders with SmartRank, and run outreach. Access to 100M+ executive profiles is sales-quoted. REST API and an MCP server are documented.

Where HelloSky fits

  • Retained executive search firms mapping leadership talent
  • Corporate exec TA that needs rank-and-evidence, not a boolean string
  • Desks on Loxo, Invenias, Gem, Clockwork, or Ezekia that want a research overlay
  • Teams that will call the REST API or MCP for enrichment

Where they pull apart

HelloSky

Stands out: SmartRank scores candidates against your scorecard with evidence. Beacon turns a JD or prompt into multi-step search strategies. Relationship pathing uses employment, board, investor, and education graphs, not just LinkedIn ties.

Watch out: There is no public seat price. This is retained-search and leadership TA software, not a $50 sourcer Chrome extension. Implementation assumes a search firm or executive TA stack.

Not the right fit for

  • High-volume IC hiring. The graph is built for leadership searches
  • Buyers who need a self-serve monthly checkout

hireEZ

Stands out: Open-web sourcing plus sequences and contact data in one outbound product.

Watch out: No MCP, and $494/mo is a real floor, so this is not an SMB finder.

Not the right fit for

  • Small desks that need a $50 finder
  • Buyers who need MCP

Pros and cons

HelloSky

  • 100M+ executive profiles with SmartRank evidence, not just a keyword hit
  • MCP server and REST API documented for custom workflows
  • Native hooks for search-firm CRMs (Loxo, Invenias, Gem, Clockwork, Ezekia)
  • Sales-quoted. No public plan table
  • Overkill for non-leadership reqs
  • You still run the search process. HelloSky is intelligence, not a placement desk

hireEZ

  • Public $494/mo start
  • Seven-day trial
  • Open-web sourcing plus sequences
  • No MCP
  • High floor for small teams
  • Not an ATS
