Juicebox vs Pin: Which AI Sourcing Tool Should Recruiters Buy

Two of the top tools in the recruitment space with AI capabilities are Pin and Juicebox

So who wins in this cage match? Short answer it depends. I have tried both and won’t make you wait till the end for a verdict but there is more juice to be had in the article and trust me you can put a Pin that “pun intended” so keep reading.

Juicebox is PeopleGPT search. Pin is search plus outreach plus scheduling. Do not buy both for the same desk.

Both have a MCP if your running your own AI agents like Grok Bot.

Pick Juicebox if a sourcer wants natural language search across 800 million plus profiles and will keep a separate sequencer. Pick Pin if one seat should source, message, and book. In the last three months recruiting Reddit has not crowned a winner. Pin is the name that shows up in live stacks. Juicebox almost does not. Both get hit on stale data. LinkedIn Recruiter still sits next to Pin, not under it.

SHRM Talent Trends put AI inside recruitment at 51 percent of organizations. The 2026 buy is search quality versus a full funnel on one invoice.

What is Juicebox used for?

Juicebox is an AI recruiting platform built around PeopleGPT. You type the role in plain English. It searches more than 800 million profiles from 30 plus public sources and ranks people on impact, not just title keywords. That is the PeopleGPT search pitch.

Juicebox also runs email sequences, contact lookup, and optional Agents. Agents are not free. The pricing page lists Juicebox Agents as a $199 a month add on. Growth gives 500 contact credits a month, ATS and CRM hooks, and up to five seats.

Business is custom, with six mailboxes per user and unlimited credits. Confirm live numbers on Juicebox pricing because 2026 writeups also quote Starter near $99 to $139 a seat. For how ATS and CRM split on the desk, see ATS vs CRM.

Juicebox is strongest as a search box and recently came out with their MCP. Outreach is email first. It is not a full LinkedIn InMail client. If your team already lives in Instantly or another sequencer, Juicebox is the finder.

If you expected one product to replace Sales Navigator, Recruiter, and a mailbox, you bought the wrong seat. Keep LinkedIn outreach and the finder as separate jobs when that is how your desk already runs.

What is Pin used for?

Pin is an all in one AI recruiting platform. Source, match, multi channel outreach, unified inbox, and interview scheduling. The Pin homepage claims 850 million plus profiles, 120 plus ATS connections, and a native agent that shortlists and follows up without a $199 add on.

Pin’s public menu is Free, Solo, Professional, Business. Free is forever with five lookup credits a week, one job, one agent, and email only sequences. Solo is $99 per user per month billed annually with 500 lookup credits. Professional is the team seat, about $135 per user per month annual on the site. Business is custom. Independent roundups in 2026 match that band. See the Noon Pin review.

Pin markets MCP on the site. Pin’s own blog says 91 percent of users cut LinkedIn Recruiter spend and 14 day average time to fill. That is a Pin comparison post, not a third party study. Use it as their number, not as a SHRM number.

What has Reddit said in the last three months?

Window: 4 June 2026 to 4 September 2026. Older Juicebox threads exist. They are not this section.

Pin is the one agencies actually list. In July, a 2026 stack thread put Pin in the sourcing slot next to Loxo, Sales Nav, SourceWhale, Outlook, and ZoomInfo. Another shop wrote “Sourcing: pin.com.” Juicebox did not appear in those stacks. That is usage, not a bake off.

Pin shows up as the finder they keep open. Sales Nav still does LinkedIn. SourceWhale still does projects. Pin is not eating the rest of the desk. In June, a LIR pricing thread claimed LinkedIn is locking multi year seats because shops are looking at AI replacements “like Pin.com.” Recruiters name Pin when they talk about leaving Recruiter. They still have not posted “we left Recruiter.”

Pin does not hook SourceWhale. Someone asked. The answer was no. If your outreach already lives in SourceWhale, Pin is a second inbox, not a merge.

In the first week of September, a sourcing agents thread had a user who uses Juicebox and Pin. Pin experience “was bad.” The category knock was stale data across most of these tools, not one logo. That is the live complaint. Credits and agents do not help if the profile is two jobs behind.

A Pin user thread is still just “has anyone used this?” in this window. Not a feature list. Not a pile of love. People are still kicking the tires.

What you will not find in 90 days: a detailed Juicebox feature rave. Export limit fights and “Boolean shy recruiters like PeopleGPT” are older than this window. Do not treat them as current. The last three months are quieter on Juicebox and practical on Pin. In the stack, not integrated, data can be stale, LIR stays.

How do Juicebox and Pin differ on search?

Both sell natural language over a huge index. Juicebox says 800 million plus from 30 plus sources. Pin says 850 million plus from professional networks, GitHub, patents, and publications. Those indexes overlap. A bigger marketed number is not a better shortlist.

The last 90 days of Reddit do not give a clean search winner. One recent agent comment used both and called Pin’s experience bad, then blamed stale data across the class. That is the test. Run the same three reqs. If the names are two years cold, the 850 million slide does not matter.

Noon’s Juicebox review calls G2 strongly positive on a small sample, about 4.9 from limited reviews. Pin cites 4.8 from 27 G2 reviews. Small n. Directional, not a bake off. Noon also flags Pin as a black box for Boolean people and inconsistent scraped contacts.

Can you trust the contact data?

No vendor in this pair is a ZoomInfo. Credits are the meter. Juicebox Growth is 500 contact credits a month. Pin Solo is 500 lookups. Pin reviewers flag wrong scraped contacts and pricey phone credits. Verify before the first send. Guess, then verify. See how to cold email for domain and verification order, and Tomba deep dive if you need a finder and verify meter. Do not burn a sending domain on a finder export. Stale data is what Reddit named in September. Treat it as the default risk.

How do they differ on outreach and agents?

Juicebox runs email sequences and Agents as an extra $199 a month. Pin runs multi channel sequences on paid plans, email, LinkedIn, SMS, and agents in the seat. Pin’s free plan is email only.

If the job is paste a JD and let an agent hunt overnight, Pin prices that in. Juicebox prices search in and agents on top. A Growth seat plus one Agent is already north of a Pin Professional seat before you add mailboxes.

Juicebox claims up to 3x more replies from sequences. Pin claims 5x response on multi channel. Both are vendor marketing. The July stack thread still pairs Pin with SourceWhale and Outlook. Recruiters did not throw the sequencer away because Pin has one.

Do you need a separate sequencer?

With Juicebox, usually yes if you already have Instantly, Smartlead, or Saleshandy. Do not buy two sequencers that do the same job. With Pin, the sequencer is the product. Keep your old sequencer if Pin’s inbox is weaker, or if you already run SourceWhale. Pin does not replace that hook. Reddit already asked. More cold send setup lives in the cold email playbook.

What the Juicebox Chrome extension does

It is PeopleGPT on the LinkedIn page. Recruiter writeups and Juicebox-adjacent roundups say the same loop: open a profile, reveal email and phone, see a fit score against an open role, push the person into a Juicebox email sequence, and track Gmail or Outlook from the same layer. Leonar’s Juicebox FAQ is the clearest third party summary of that extension loop.

Basically, the Juicebox Chrome extension brings candidate intelligence directly into recruiters’ everyday browsing and email workflows.

When used with Gmail or Outlook, it provides instant context on candidates without requiring recruiters to leave their inbox, including relevant skills, career signals, and milestones.

Recruiters can also check whether a candidate already exists in their ATS and review previous outreach or sequence activity involving the candidate and their team. This helps eliminate duplicate outreach, gives recruiters better context before responding, and makes candidate engagement more informed and efficient.

Pin.com Chrome Extension” What’s Under the Hood?

Pin’s Chrome extension is built to make candidate sourcing faster while recruiters browse LinkedIn and the wider web. From a candidate’s profile, recruiters can import the person into Pin, check whether the candidate has already been contacted by someone on the team, evaluate their fit for active roles, look up contact information, and add them to an outreach sequence with a single click.

The extension also supports job filtering when adding candidates to shortlists or outreach campaigns, helping recruiters ensure that candidates are associated with the correct open role.

Does Juicebox or Pin integrate with my ATS?

Both advertise big integration numbers. Both put the integration behind the top tier. This is the most expensive detail in either product and it is buried on both pricing pages.

Juicebox lists 41 ATS platforms and 21 CRMs, including Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, Workday, Bullhorn, Salesforce and HubSpot. ATS and CRM sync is a Business plan feature, not a Growth feature, which several buyer guides have flagged as gated to Business. On Starter and Growth you get CSV export instead, capped at your monthly export credits.

Pin claims 120 plus ATS and CRM connections with bidirectional sync, naming Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Bullhorn, Loxo, Crelate, iCIMS, Jobvite, Workday, SmartRecruiters and BambooHR. Read the plan comparison table on Pin’s own pricing page and ATS integration shows as an add on for Solo and Professional. It is only included on Business.

So the honest answer to “does it connect to my ATS” is yes on both, and no at the price you were quoted. If automatic sync into Greenhouse or Bullhorn is a requirement rather than a nice to have, budget for a custom quote on either platform or plan to move candidates by CSV.

What if you do not have an ATS yet?

Then this stops being a problem and starts being a decision. Neither tool is an ATS. Juicebox is a search engine with outreach attached. Pin is a sourcing and outreach platform with a light pipeline. Both leave you needing somewhere for candidates to live once they reply. If that describes you, read ATS vs CRM before you buy either one, and browse the ATS category to price a system of record alongside the sourcing seat.

Which integrations matter most for agencies?

Bullhorn, Loxo and Crelate. Pin names all three and syncs both directions. Juicebox is stronger on the in house side of the list, with Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workday. That split matches where each product sells hardest, and it is a cleaner tiebreaker than any feature table if your system of record is already chosen.

Integration quick answers

Does Pin integrate with Bullhorn? Yes, with bidirectional sync, but ATS integration is an add on below the Business plan.

Does Juicebox integrate with Greenhouse? Yes, and with about 40 other systems, but only on the custom priced Business plan.

Can I use either without an ATS? Yes. Both export to CSV on paid plans, and Pin also does PDF export.

How much do Juicebox and Pin actually cost in 2026?

Sticker price is nearly identical. Total cost is not, and the gap comes from two things: whether agents are included in the seat, and what a phone number costs you.

Here is the full published ladder for both, taken from each vendor’s own pricing page.

Plan levelJuiceboxPin
Free$0. Limited searches, AI email templates, agent setup. No contact credits$0 forever. 5 lookup credits per week, 3 searches a day, 1 job, 1 agent, email only sequences

AutomationAgents are a separate $199 per agent per month add onAgents included on every paid plan

Both pages are worth checking yourself before you buy, because both moved this year. The Pin pricing page shows a 25 percent annual discount. The Juicebox pricing page shows 15 percent. Juicebox also repriced the whole ladder on 21 July 2026, cutting Starter and doubling its credits, which is why half the comparison articles on Google still quote $139 and 250 credits. Those are pre July numbers. The change is documented in this repricing log.

What does each one cost per year by team size?

TeamJuicebox (annual billing)Pin (annual billing)Difference
1 recruiter, search only$1,188 on Starter$1,188 on SoloEven
1 recruiter, one always on agent$3,576 (Starter plus one agent)$1,188 on SoloPin saves $2,388
3 recruiters$6,444 on Growth$4,860 on ProfessionalPin saves $1,584
5 recruiters$10,740 on Growth$8,100 on ProfessionalPin saves $2,640
10 recruitersCustom quote. Growth caps at 5 seats$16,200 on ProfessionalJuicebox requires a sales call

That last row is the one nobody mentions. Juicebox Growth stops at five seats. The moment you hire a sixth recruiter you are a Business customer on a custom quote, and Business is annual only. Pin Professional has no seat ceiling, so a ten person team can still buy it self serve.

What does a contact credit really cost?

Credits are the meter on both tools, so divide the seat price by the monthly credit allowance and the picture sharpens.

Juicebox Starter works out to roughly 20 cents per contact credit. Growth drops that to about 12 cents, the cheapest unit price of any tier on either platform. Pin Solo also lands near 20 cents, and Pin Professional sits around 14 cents.

The catch is what the credit buys. Juicebox Starter credits are email only. If you want a mobile number you have to be on Growth at $179, which is an 81 percent jump from Starter. Pin charges one credit for a personal email, a work email, or a phone number at every paid tier, so a solo recruiter gets phone access at $99. If your desk lives on the phone, that single difference outweighs everything else on this page.

Quick pricing answers

Is Juicebox or Pin cheaper? Even at one seat with no automation. Pin is cheaper at every other configuration, mostly because Juicebox charges $199 a month per agent and Pin does not.

Does Pin have a free plan? Yes, free forever with five lookup credits a week, one job, one agent, and email only sequences. Juicebox has a free tier too, but with no contact credits you cannot reveal anyone, so it is a search demo rather than a working plan.

What is the real entry price? $99 a seat on both, billed annually. Monthly billing pushes Juicebox to $119 and Pin Professional to $179.

Can either replace LinkedIn Recruiter?

Not as a default. In the last three months Pin is the AI sourcer people put beside Sales Nav. The LIR special deals thread treats Pin as the threat LinkedIn is pricing against. Nobody in that window posted a clean “we cancelled Recruiter for Pin” case with reply rates.

Juicebox is cheaper search against a wide index. Pin is cheaper search plus workflow. LinkedIn is the live graph that most if the candidates in their software come from. If your only use of Linkedin Recruiter is Boolean plus InMail, Pin or Juicebox can cut seats.

If hiring managers live in LinkedIn, keep a Recruiter or Sales Nav seat and use the AI tool as the second pass. I have sales navigator in my stack as Linkedin Recruiter is not worth the cost nor is it needed.

Who should pick Juicebox?

Independent recruiters and small TA teams who want PeopleGPT quality and will run outreach elsewhere. Shops that already paid for a sequencer and an ATS. People who want to trial search without buying Pin’s full funnel.

Skip Juicebox if you need SMS and LinkedIn in the same sequence today, or if you refuse a $199 agent line. Recent Reddit will not save the pitch. The last 90 days barely mention it. You are buying search, not social proof.

Who should pick Pin?

Full desk recruiters who want one login for source, send, and schedule, and who will accept Pin as a slot next to Sales Nav rather than a LIR funeral. Teams that will actually use the agent. Buyers who want a free plan before finance sees $99.

Skip Pin if you need SourceWhale as the system of record for sequences. Skip if contact accuracy on phones is the whole job. Skip if a September user saying the Pin experience “was bad” plus stale data would block a contract. Run the trial.

Reddit is not a Pin sweep. Pin is more present. Juicebox is quieter. Stale data hits both. Industry mix matters. Run the same three reqs through both trials. Keep the shortlist, not the demo deck. More products live in the Work Insiders directory.

What are the best Juicebox and Pin alternatives?

If neither one fits, the sourcing market in 2026 splits cleanly into published price tools and quote only tools. Prices below were read from each vendor’s own pricing page in August 2026 and every one of them moves, so treat these as a starting band rather than a quote.

ToolPublished entry priceBest for
SeekOut$149 per month annual, $179 monthly for Recruit CoreHard to source technical, cleared and diversity searches, plus mining your own ATS
hireEZFrom $494 per month for a solo recruiterMid market teams consolidating sourcing, CRM and outreach into one contract
Fetcher$115 per month self serveRecruiters who would rather review curated batches than run searches
LoxoFree tier, then $169 per user per monthAgencies that want an ATS, a CRM and sourcing on one invoice
Leonar$95 per user per month on annual prepaySolo recruiters who want a cheaper seat with a sourcing agent priced separately
LinkedIn RecruiterNo published price, commonly quoted around $900 per seatTeams whose hiring managers already live inside LinkedIn

The useful pattern here is that almost every alternative copies the same structure Juicebox and Pin use: pay per seat, then ration contact credits. Independent roundups comparing vendor pages in August found the same shape across the category. What actually differs between them is how much of the workflow comes after the list of names.

SeekOut and hireEZ are the closest true substitutes for Juicebox, because all three sell search first. SeekOut publishes one seat price and quotes everything above it. hireEZ has the highest published floor in the category and no longer sells a plain search seat, which pricing analysis puts at three to five times the Juicebox sticker.

Loxo is the closest substitute for Pin, because both bundle the desk rather than the search box. Loxo adds an ATS and a sales CRM that Pin does not have, and it has a genuinely usable free tier for one user. It costs more per seat once you need its AI, which sits behind a custom quote.

Browse the full sourcing category for tools not listed here, or the Work Insiders directory to filter by price and use case.

Which alternative should you look at first?

If your budget is the constraint, look at Fetcher or Leonar. If your bottleneck is finding people nobody else can find, look at SeekOut. If you want the whole desk on one login rather than a better search box, look at Loxo. If you are being pushed toward a five figure annual contract, that is hireEZ or LinkedIn territory and you should price Pin Business against both before signing.

How should you trial them without burning a domain?

Run both for two weeks on the same three roles. Same geography. Same seniority. Export 25 names each. Verify emails with a real verifier before any sequence. Score: in list, reachable, actually still in that job on a human read. That last check is the stale data test Reddit just named.

Do not connect your payroll Google domain. Do not let an agent auto send on day one.

If the shortlists are 80 percent the same people, buy the cheaper workflow. If Juicebox finds people Pin misses, or the reverse, that is the only reason to keep a second sourcer. Two overlapping AI sourcers is two credit meters for one graph.

Frequently asked questions

Is Juicebox just ChatGPT with a scrape?

Older Reddit said that. The last three months did not relitigate it. Juicebox says PeopleGPT ranks on achievements across 30 plus sources. The useful test is a niche req you already lost on LIR. If the shortlist is new and reachable, the wrapper argument does not matter. If the titles are stale, you did not need the seat.

Does Pin include AI agents in the base plan?

Yes on paid Solo and up, per the public site. Free includes one agent with tight credits. Juicebox Agents are a separate $199 a month line. That is the clearest price differentiator in 2026. Want AI agents for less go with Pin.

Should a staffing agency buy both?

No. One recent commenter used both and still called Pin’s experience bad but some recruiters rave about in recruitment facebook groups so it’s really in the eye of the beholder and what your work flow is. Pick the searcher or the full funnel. Keep LinkedIn recruiter if the graph still pays. Add verification.

A good sourcing stack could include Linkedin Sales navigator, Plus Pin or Juice box. Add a cheap Signalhire plan as well for email double verification and now your cooking.

Juicebox is the search seat. Pin is the desk seat. Last 90 days of Reddit will not pick for you. They will tell you Pin is in more stacks, Juicebox is quieter, data goes stale, and Recruiter is still there. Run the same three reqs, verify the emails, then pay for one they both have trials to give them a test run.
