Vitae AI
Recruiting ATS and CRM built for AI: run it from Claude or ChatGPT over MCP, or use its built-in AI, with your own sourcing tool keys.
From $79/user/mo Free trial MCP server API
Bottom line
For agencies and search firms already doing their work in Claude or ChatGPT: Vitae is an ATS and recruiting CRM the assistant can operate directly over MCP, so sourcing, stage moves and notes land in your system of record. $79 per recruiter a month, with migration included.
Stands out for: It is built around outside AI rather than bolting AI on. Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor connect over a hosted MCP server with OAuth and act inside Vitae under your permissions, and you can plug in your own Apollo, Exa, ContactOut or CoreSignal keys so the AI sources with tools you already pay for. The data model is yours to shape, with custom objects, fee and rebate tracking and one pipeline per client.
Watch out for: It is a young product: there are few independent reviews, and the vendor's own integrations page warns that a listed connector does not always mean full two-way sync, so check the ones you rely on. Pricing is not all flat: AI actions and contact data draw on a monthly credit pool, and heavier sourcing or business development needs paid add-ons or top-ups.
Overview
Vitae AI calls itself a recruitment OS: an ATS and recruiting CRM that any AI can plug into. It targets contingent and retained agencies, executive search firms, RPOs and in-house talent teams, with starting templates for each.
The data model is configurable. You can add objects, fields and relationships, run as many pipelines as you need, and track placement fees and rebate windows. Candidate search covers your own database and, the vendor says, 400M+ external profiles in plain English, with CV parsing, AI screening questions, talent pools and branded candidate presentations for clients.
Work can run through Vitae's built-in AI or through Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor over its hosted MCP server. No-code workflows chain triggers, conditions and AI steps, and the vendor offers 100+ templates such as a Monday list of engineers who changed jobs, scored against a job description.
Outreach sequences go out over email, LinkedIn and SMS, and scheduling syncs with Google and Microsoft calendars. Connectors cover Gmail and Outlook, contact data from Apollo, Clay, ContactOut, LeadMagic, Wiza and Exa, messaging through WhatsApp Business, Twilio, LinkedIn and Slack, job posting to LinkedIn Jobs and Indeed, plus HubSpot, Pipedrive, DocuSign, Personio and Xero.
For agencies a Business Development module watches target companies weekly for hiring, funding and leadership signals, finds the decision-maker and runs outreach; it can run beside another ATS. A versioned REST API with an OpenAPI contract, webhooks and OAuth 2.1 support custom integrations, and the team takes on custom builds.
Who it's for
Best for
- Agency recruiters who already use Claude or ChatGPT daily and want it to update the ATS directly
- Search firms and RPOs that need a custom data model, per-client pipelines and fee tracking
- Teams leaving Bullhorn, Loxo or JobAdder that want the migration done for them
Not ideal for
- Large enterprises that need a long-established ATS with a deep review record
- Recruiters who want a fixed price with no usage credits
- Teams that do not plan to use AI in their workflow
Key features
Bring your own AI. A hosted MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor search candidates, move them through stages, book interviews, send follow-ups and write notes inside Vitae, so work done in the assistant lands in the ATS instead of being pasted back later.
Custom data model. Add your own objects, fields and links, with separate pipelines per client, role or workflow, and templates for tech contingent, executive search, in-house TA and RPO.
AI workflows. Trigger-and-action automations with AI steps, such as scoring new applicants and routing strong fits to scheduling while others go to a nurture pool, plus 100+ ready-made workflows.

MCP server
https://mcp.vitae.ai/mcp
First-party MCP at mcp.vitae.ai/mcp, hosted by the vendor over Streamable HTTP. In Claude or ChatGPT add it as a custom connector and approve Vitae's OAuth consent screen; other clients use a personal access token from Vitae settings. It exposes a defined tool catalogue under the same permissions as the product, not every action, and a versioned REST API with an OpenAPI contract sits alongside it.
