Compare/Head to head

eQuest vs JobTarget

Same facts, side by side: starting price, free tier, MCP, API and what each one is actually built for.

eQuest

Quote-based

Job distribution network for employers that push jobs from an ATS or career site to more than 35,000 boards, colleges and niche sites in 180+ countries, including US compliance destinations. It is sold by quote based on posting output, and the BLAST! unlimited-posting annual fee is also quoted.

Where eQuest fits

  • US federal contractors needing OFCCP posting
  • Employers posting jobs internationally
  • ATS teams wanting rules-based auto posting

JobTarget

Sales-quoted

JobTarget is a job-advertising marketplace across 25,000-plus boards plus a programmatic layer. Access to the platform is free. You pay the board's listed price, a $5 delivery fee on some organic posts, and sales-quoted fees for Programmatic, Sourcer, and JobTarget 360.

Where JobTarget fits

  • TA teams that post the same req to many niche boards from one cart
  • Employers that want programmatic job ads without standing up a media desk
  • HR teams that need OFCCP-style distribution alongside paid boards
  • Companies already in Greenhouse, Workable, or another of the 80-plus ATS integrations

Where they pull apart

eQuest

Stands out: eQuest handles more than 250 million posting transactions a year and says it has never lost a federal VEVRAA audit for a client in over ten years. It will refund service fees if a client loses a VEVRAA job-listings audit.

Watch out: There is no public rate card, so unlimited posting, BLAST! and eQuestXpress board rates all need a sales conversation. Since August 2025, eQuest can no longer be the origin of Indeed organic jobs, and board transaction fees can still apply.

Not the right fit for

  • Teams needing a per-post price before a call
  • Recruiters relying on Indeed organic listings
  • Buyers wanting cost-per-click bid management

JobTarget

Stands out: ATS-to-board posting with applications returned to 80-plus ATS connectors, so recruiting marketing does not live in a side spreadsheet.

Watch out: Marketplace rates are set by the job boards, not JobTarget. Programmatic budgets, Sourcer (90M-plus profiles), and bundled 360 seats require a relationship manager.

Not the right fit for

  • A hiring manager who only posts to LinkedIn and Indeed by hand
  • Buyers who need a single published SaaS seat price for the whole platform

Pros and cons

eQuest

  • Delivery to 35,000+ sites in 180+ countries
  • AutoPost runs with no recruiter logins
  • Refund guarantee on lost VEVRAA audits
  • No published prices for any product
  • Indeed organic delivery no longer offered
  • Board fees may still apply outside media services

JobTarget

  • No platform access fee. You pay boards, a $5 organic delivery fee, or a campaign budget
  • 80-plus ATS integrations that send jobs out and applications back
  • 25,000-plus job sites in one marketplace, including niche and compliance boards
  • Programmatic, Sourcer, and 360 pricing is sales-quoted
  • It is not an ATS. Candidate workflow still lives elsewhere
  • Board prices and the $5 organic fee vary by site, so total cost is hard to forecast

What each one costs

eQuest

Quote-based

eQuest does not publish prices. Fees are quoted from posting output, and buyers ask sales about unlimited posting. BLAST! is one annual fee for unlimited posting, and eQuestXpress is pay-as-you-go by credit card with no membership or contract, at discounted board rates. Confirm current terms on the vendor site.
