Who this path is for
Agency and search firm recruiters who win their own clients and fill their own jobs. The path follows the agency desk in order: get set up, win the client, fill the job, then close the offer and show what AI saved you.
Tick each step as you finish it. Your ticks are saved in this browser only. Every stage ends with one thing to try on a live req.

Stage 1: Set up safely
Pick your assistant, learn to brief it and set your own rules before you paste in any candidate or client data.
- Read: What is AI in recruiting?
- Read: ChatGPT, Claude or Grok, and which plan do you need? Pick one and switch off model training if you are on a personal plan.
- Read: How do you write AI prompts for recruiting?
- Read: What candidate data can you put into ChatGPT?
- Build your playbook with the recruiting playbook builder: your title variants, ideal client profile and the rules AI must follow.
- Live req: create a project in your assistant for your hardest open job, following the projects lesson, and put your playbook inside it.
Stage 2: Win the client
Find companies that are hiring before your competitors do, and reach the hiring manager with something specific to say.
- Read: How do agency recruiters use AI to win new clients?
- Save the prompts you will use from the business development prompts.
- Set up the Monday hiring companies list from the automation recipes.
- Read: How do you personalize outreach with AI without landing in spam? Then check your sending domain with the SPF, DKIM and DMARC checker.
- Live req: pick ten companies that are hiring in your niche, research each one with the prompts, and send five hiring manager emails you have edited yourself.
Stage 3: Fill the job
Turn the intake into a sharp brief, search your own database first, then the market, and send submissions the client reads.
- Read: How can AI help with hiring manager intake meetings? Use the intake prompts on your next call.
- Read: How does AI rediscover candidates already in your database?
- Read: What is AI sourcing?
- Read: Semantic search vs Boolean search, then build a search with the sourcing prompts.
- Draft candidate messages with the outreach prompts and run them through the cold email spam checker.
- Read: What is candidate fraud, and how do you spot a deepfake? Your client pays for the person you put forward.
- Live req: write your next three submissions with the screening and submission prompts, check every claim against your notes, and send.
Stage 4: Close and prove it
Handle references, offers and counteroffers, prepare candidates who use AI themselves, and count the time you saved.
- Read: How does AI help with reference checks and job offers?
- Plan your next offer call with the offer and closing prompts, including the counteroffer prompt.
- Read: How are candidates using AI to apply for jobs? Then send your shortlist the interview prep guide for candidates.
- Read: How do you build an AI recruiting stack on a small budget? Cancel anything you did not use in stages 2 and 3.
- Read: How do you measure the ROI of AI in recruiting?
- Live req: run the desk metrics prompt from the reporting prompts on this month’s numbers and write down the hours saved per week and what you did with them.
Quick answers
Is this different from the 8 week plan?
Yes. The 8 week plan covers the whole Academy. This path keeps only what an agency desk needs and adds business development and submissions earlier.
Can I put client names into ChatGPT, Claude or Grok?
Company names and public hiring news are usually fine. Keep candidate personal details and anything your client told you in confidence out of personal plans. Stage 1 covers the rules.
