Vela
AI agents for UK staffing firms that clean CRM data, run client BD and nurture, and source candidates from your database.
From £299/mo
Bottom line
Vela is a young UK company selling AI agents to staffing and recruitment firms that work inside their existing CRM. It cleans contact data first, then runs client business development, long-term nurture and candidate screening from the database you already own. Core starts at £299/month (£239 billed annually) and Sift candidate screening at £1,500/month, in GBP only.
Stands out for: It insists on fixing CRM data before any outreach runs, and its agents share that data so Scout and Pulse skip records Core flags as stale. Sift builds UK Right to Work checks into the AI qualification interview and writes the outcome to the candidate record.
Watch out for: Vela launched in May 2026 and says itself it is a young company; the performance figures on its pages are labelled as illustrative, not customer results. Pricing is GBP only, Sift is built for UK agencies, and live integrations are limited to a few CRMs such as JobAdder, Salesforce and Firefish.
Overview
Vela was founded in April 2025 by Ben Harper, who previously led commercial teams at Bullhorn, and went live in May 2026 with four agents for staffing and recruitment firms. Vela Tech Ltd operates under UK GDPR, runs on AWS in UK and EU regions, and lists Anthropic's Claude API as its AI layer and Pinecone for candidate search.
Core is the starting point. It audits the CRM, then continuously refreshes email, phone, job title, employer and company details, scores confidence on each record and flags bounce risk. Data is written back to standard fields, and no record is deleted without approval.
Scout handles first-touch business development: it reads hiring signals such as new postings, funding and leadership changes, writes outreach in your agency's tone and niche, and sends from your own domain. Pulse then keeps contacts warm with 5 to 12 touchpoints a year, with send windows, frequency caps, suppression lists and optional consultant approval on both.
Sift sources candidates from your existing database using vector search, runs adaptive AI qualification interviews by phone, email, WhatsApp or SMS, checks UK Right to Work, and writes scores, transcripts and formatted CVs back to the CRM. Higher tiers add interview scheduling and client-ready candidate packs.
Pricing is in GBP on rolling monthly terms with 20% off annually. Core runs £299/month (£239 annually) for 1,000 contacts or £799/month for 3,000. Sift runs from £1,500/month for 50 jobs to £4,000/month for 400 jobs. BD bundles start at £399/month, and Scout or Pulse alone are quoted. Most firms begin with a CRM data assessment and an optional paid 30-day pilot.
