Where they pull apart

ContactOut

Stands out: Chrome extension recruiters keep pinned, plus mobiles and a hosted MCP.

Watch out: There is no simple public price table, so confirm the current rate with the vendor.

Not the right fit for

  • Teams that need Sales Nav list export as the core workflow
  • Buyers who need a public price table

HireScope AI

Stands out: Much of it works without AI credits: experience stats, sorted skills and a keyword match appear on every profile for free, so the 3 daily AI evaluations can be saved for the candidates worth a deeper look. Each evaluation also writes interview questions for the role.

Watch out: It is a very early product, version 0.1.1 with 16 Chrome users and no store ratings in October 2026, and the developer lists a personal Gmail address. It finds no contact data and sends nothing. The store listing says it handles personal information and website content, so read the privacy policy before screening for sensitive roles.

Not the right fit for

  • Teams screening more than 3 profiles a day with AI
  • Recruiters who need emails, phone numbers or outreach
  • Buyers who need an established vendor or ATS export

Pros and cons

ContactOut

  • Chrome workflow from the LinkedIn tab
  • Mobiles next to emails
  • MCP plus API
  • No simple public price table
  • Not a sequencer
  • Integration list is short

HireScope AI

  • Free plan with no card and no expiry
  • Experience, skills and keyword match never use credits
  • Writes role-specific interview questions
  • Only 3 AI evaluations a day on the free plan
  • Paid plans not yet available
  • Very new, with a tiny user base

The Free plan costs nothing, needs no card and does not expire. It includes 3 AI evaluations a day, 3 job positions, 50 saved candidates, 10 tags, 7 days of history and profile export; experience stats, skill sorting and quick match never use an evaluation. The pricing page lists Starter at $12/mo (200 evaluations a month, pipeline board, cloud sync, comparison) and Pro at $29/mo (2,000 a month, PDF and Word export), both marked Coming Soon in October 2026, so only the free plan can be bought today.
