Stands out for: Staff booking links that live in Outlook and Teams, with no extra Bookings SKU to buy.

Watch out for: You buy a Microsoft 365 plan, not Bookings alone. Business Basic is $7/user/mo yearly. Outlook on the web must be enabled.

Overview

Microsoft Bookings is a Microsoft 365 appointment app with a web booking calendar, Outlook calendar matching, automated emails, and virtual appointments through Teams or Skype. It is not sold as a standalone product. Microsoft lists it with Business Basic, Business Standard, Business Premium, and several Office 365 education, enterprise, and frontline plans. Business Basic is $7 per user per month paid yearly and includes Bookings in the Teams-connected set. Business Standard is $23.50 per user per month paid yearly. A free Microsoft 365 trial is offered with the plans.

Microsoft shops pick Bookings to avoid a second vendor for simple client or candidate booking. Staff can be added as administrators or viewers on a calendar they don't own. This is not Calendly-class workflow automation and it is not an ATS scheduler. If you already pay for Business Basic, Bookings is already in the bundle. If you are not on Microsoft 365, the $7 Business Basic seat is the cheapest way to buy it.
