Bottom line
Internal communications software for HR and comms teams that send employee emails and newsletters from Outlook or Gmail. It adds a branded drag-and-drop builder, AI drafting and pre-send checks, surveys and segmented analytics on top of the inbox you already use. All plans are quoted, based on list size.
Stands out for: It works inside Outlook and Gmail rather than replacing them, so emails arrive from a familiar sender and employees need no app or login. The AI tools are aimed at mistakes: ConfidenceCheck catches broken links, typos and placeholders before a send, and you can edit links and resend to non-openers after sending.
Watch out for: No prices are published, so you cannot compare cost without a sales call. SMS, branded pages, external sending and HRIS sync on the lower plans are paid add-ons, and the Analytics API is Enterprise only. It is built for communicating with existing employees, not for candidates.
Overview
ContactMonkey is an internal communications platform used by more than 1,000 organisations. Comms and HR teams design employee emails and newsletters in a drag-and-drop builder and send them through their own Outlook or Gmail account, so messages come from a known sender rather than a marketing platform.
Content can be targeted by department, role, location or seniority, with dynamic blocks that show different sections to different groups and automatic translations for multilingual workforces. Emails can also be published to Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, turned into branded web pages, or sent by two-way SMS for urgent updates.
AI features include CoAuthor, which drafts and designs an on-brand email from a prompt, ConfidenceCheck, which reviews each email for errors and accessibility issues before it sends, Audience Preview, which gives pre-send feedback from AI personas based on your audience, and an Insights Assistant that answers questions about campaign performance in plain language.
Analytics cover opens, clicks, read time and click maps, broken down by segment, and surveys, eNPS and event registrations can be embedded in emails. It syncs employee lists from Workday, BambooHR, ADP, Dayforce and 80+ other HRIS platforms, and is SOC 2 Type II compliant with SSO and data residency in the US, EU, Canada and APAC.
Pricing is quote-based across three plans, Launch, Grow and Enterprise, set by list size and sender seats, with several features sold as add-ons.
