It is not a validated assessment suite, so regulated or high-stakes selection may need more.

What we noted

Not a validated assessment suite

Smaller vendor than the incumbents

Not the right fit for

Enterprises that need validated assessments
Agencies that only need contact data

Worth keeping in mind: A published $49 entry price with match reasoning, where rivals quote five figures.

What each one does differently

HireVue

Enterprise

Why it comes up: Enterprise video plus assessments if this is too light.

Stands out: Video interviews and validated assessments in one enterprise suite.

Watch out: No published price, and it is far heavier than a small team needs for async video.

Best for

Enterprise talent teams standardising video interviews
Teams that need assessments before an onsite
High-volume employers that cannot run live first rounds

4.5 on Capterra from 50 reviews

Willo

$59/role/mo 14 day free trial

Why it comes up: One-way video without the AI scoring layer.

Stands out: Priced per live role rather than per seat, with a long list of supported trackers.

Watch out: Priced in pounds, and there is a large gap between the entry plan and enterprise.

Best for

Small and mid-sized teams running async screens
Teams on Greenhouse, Workable, Lever or Ashby
Hiring managers who review on their own time

4.7 on Capterra from 39 reviews

TestGorilla

$215/mo Free tier

Why it comes up: Skills tests if you do not need video.

Stands out: A large test library with anti-cheating measures and a genuine free plan.

Watch out: The jump from Core to Plus is steep, and it is tests rather than video interviewing.

Best for

Teams that want evidence before a live interview
Organisations on the major applicant trackers
Buyers replacing an enterprise assessment module

Skima AI

Quote-based 14 day free trial

Why it comes up: Explainable ATS scores if video is not the buying reason.

Stands out: Match scores you can defend to a hiring manager, plus a long list of supported trackers.

Watch out: No published price beyond the trial, and it needs an ATS with data in it to be useful.

Best for

Talent teams that must explain scores to hiring managers
Teams re-engaging people already in the ATS
Organisations on Greenhouse, Lever, Workday or iCIMS
