Compare/Head to head

Alfa AI vs Kalent

Same facts, side by side: starting price, free tier, MCP, API and what each one is actually built for.

Alfa AI

Quote-based

UK-built AI recruiter that runs a role from brief to shortlist: it sources from 800M+ profiles, posts job ads to LinkedIn and Indeed, has an AI avatar called Lisa interview every applicant over audio or video, scores each one with evidence and syncs the shortlist into your ATS. Pricing is quoted after a demo, so it suits teams with enough open roles to justify a sales process.

Where Alfa AI fits

  • In-house TA teams running many roles with a small recruiting staff
  • Agencies that want overnight screening of inbound applicants
  • Teams on Bullhorn, JobDiva, Ceipal or Loxo that want sourced and screened candidates pushed in
  • UK and European employers that need GDPR, ISO 27001 and SOC 2 coverage

Kalent

$55/500 credits 7 day free trial

AI sourcing agent built in France for teams hiring in Europe and the US. Describe the role in plain language, get ranked matches from 200M+ profiles with mobiles and personal emails, and let the agent draft LinkedIn, email and WhatsApp outreach you approve. Platform seats are quoted after a 7-day free trial, and the MCP for Claude and ChatGPT runs on public credit packs from $55.

Where Kalent fits

  • Agencies and in-house teams hiring across France and the rest of Europe
  • Recruiters who reach candidates on WhatsApp as well as LinkedIn and email
  • Teams sourcing from inside Claude or ChatGPT through an MCP
  • Companies on Workday, Teamtailor, Ashby or SmartRecruiters that want one-click candidate push

Where they pull apart

Alfa AI

Stands out: It covers both outbound sourcing and inbound screening in one agent, where most rivals do one or the other, and the 24/7 avatar interview means applicants are screened the night they apply. The ATS list is unusually long at more than 75 systems, covering US agency tools like Bullhorn, JobDiva, Ceipal and Loxo as well as Workday, Greenhouse and many European ATSs.

Watch out: There is no public price, no trial and no self-serve sign up, so cost is unknown until a demo. Video avatar interviews put it squarely under rules such as NYC Local Law 144 and the EU AI Act; the FAQ lists those questions without answers on the page, so ask for its bias audit before rolling it out. There is no API or MCP, and outside reviews are not yet available.

Not the right fit for

  • Buyers who need a published price or a trial before a demo
  • Teams that want to wire candidate data into their own tools through an API
  • Executive or senior searches where an avatar first interview could put candidates off

Kalent

Stands out: European coverage and WhatsApp outreach are built in, which most US-first sourcing tools treat as an afterthought, and the vendor holds SOC 2 Type 2 with GDPR opt-out handling. It also ships one of the more complete recruiting MCP servers: OAuth sign in, search, enrichment, outreach and ATS push from inside Claude or ChatGPT, on credit packs that never expire.

Watch out: Seat prices are not published, so you need a sales call to cost the full platform; only the MCP credit packs carry public prices. The ATS list leans French and European (Flatchr, Taleez, BoondManager, Beetween), and Greenhouse, Lever and Bullhorn are not among the 20 named integrations on its integrations page. ATS sync is an add-on below the Team plan, and the 70% mobile figure is the vendor's own claim.

Not the right fit for

  • Buyers who want a public per-seat price before a sales call
  • US agencies whose ATS of record is Bullhorn
  • Teams that only need a cheap email finder

Pros and cons

Kalent

  • Strong European profile coverage alongside the US
  • WhatsApp and SMS outreach next to LinkedIn and email

  • Platform seat prices are quote only
  • ATS list leans toward French and European systems
  • ATS sync is an add-on below the Team plan
